Are you using Pinterest for your art marketing strategy? In this post, you will discover what is new with Pinterest. Pinterest adds pinch to zoom and more.
Pinterest Adds Pinch to Zoom
One thing is for sure, you will never get bored marketing your art on social media platforms.
Because social media is constantly changing. What I will be sharing with you today will be old news by the time you read this post.
In some ways, all of the changes are exciting and other ways it can be overwhelming.
I will always keep you on top of all the changes so you will never be left behind. Take the information I share with you and try to incorporate it into your marketing plan only if it relates to your goals. If a new strategy will not help you to reach your goals in any way, discard the plan and focus on what will.
Ok, enough of that pep talk, let’s talk about Pinterest.
Pinterest has generated a large amount of traffic to my blog. In fact, it generates the more traffic than all of the social media networks I market on combined.
If you are not on Pinterest yet, you might want to consider doing so.
Pinch to Zoom
Pinterest is working hard to develop its visual search options and putting more importance on their search tools to make it a better experience for its users.
Here are just a couple of changes Pinterest has already made and announced.
According to Pinterest:
When you fire up your Pinterest app today, you may notice a small but very helpful new improvement.
Now, instead of having to open the Explore tab to search for ideas to try, you simply type what you’re looking for into the new search bar at the top of your home feed. You also have the Lens camera right there at the ready, so when you spot something out in the world that looks interesting, you can quickly tap open Lens to snap a photo and find related ideas.
Their latest change is the Pinch to Zoom option. Now you can pinch on your screen to zoom in on any image.
How can this change help you to sell and promote your art on Pinterest?
Many people purchasing art online like to see the artwork up close. Pinterest now makes it easy for your audience to do this. You no longer have to spend hours taking several different images of your art.
What Else is New with Pinterest?
Here are some more features Pinterest is working hard on.
This is still in Beta but it sounds like it will change the way people search online in the near future. What Pinterest Lens will offer is a person to be able to use their smartphone camera to discover ideas and pins from objects they see in the real world.
Makes it easy for Pinners to find related pins by simply tapping on the circle on the bottom of each pin. After you tap on the circle, pins that are similar will be displayed.
Shop the Look
Shop the look allows you to track and purchase products being displayed in fashion and home decor pins. Simply tap on an item being displayed like a hat, boots, jeans, etc. and pins will be displayed that will allow you to make a purchase. When you are ready to buy, you can make the purchase right on Pinterest.
Pinterest is working hard to make it an enjoyable experience for people visiting and all of their efforts are paying off. More and more people are visiting and creating accounts on Pinterest.
Sharing your art on Pinterest is a great way for you reach a new audience online.
