Do you find it difficult to get everything done during the day? Do you find yourself putting things off or forgetting to do important tasks?

What Is Time Management: Succesful Artist

Working at home is becoming more popular and has many benefits however many people find it imposable to stay focused.

If you are easily distracted, you will start to fall behind in your job. When you fall behind in your work, you will create an enormous amount of unnecessary stress that could have been avoided if you had good time management skills.

It is easy to say, “I will do that later” when you are the boss at home. However, if you do not get the work done you will not make any money.

Procrastinating will affect your business in a negative way.

There will be many times when you just do not feel like doing specific tasks.

When those feelings arise you will have to fight through them and just get that job done. The sooner you start, the sooner it will be finished.

To reach your goals, you will need to learn how to manage your time.

A goal, a positive attitude, and surrounding yourself with positive people is essential for success, but you will also need an action plan.

Without action, there is no movement.

As an artist, you are the boss and the employee.

The boss writes the plan and the employee performs the tasks.

Writing down a list of things that have to get done is easy.

Accomplishing them is the tricky part. In order for you to get everything done, you will need to have a good grip on time management or you will find yourself working around the clock.

What is time management?

Time management is defined as the act of planning and exercising conscious control over the amount of time spent on specific activities, especially to increase effectiveness, efficiently or productivity.

Learning how to manage your time is a learning process.

It is possible for you to learn how to become more productive with your day.

The less time it takes to accomplish something the more valuable your time becomes. Let’s say that you have earned $200.00 on sales but it took you forty hours to complete the transaction, your time is valued at five dollars an hour.  There are two ways that you can increase the value of your time. One way is by raising your prices. The other way is to be more productive with your time.

Raising your prices will only work if people are willing to purchase your art at a higher price. When you build an audience, and your art is in demand, you will be able to increase your prices. The value of your time will increase.

But when you are first starting, and you are building your audience your prices will need to reflect your experience. The only way that you will be able to increase the value of your time is to become more productive with your time.

The less time it takes you to finish your tasks the more free time you have. Can you imagine having a successful art business that pays the bills while having more time to enjoy your favorite activities?

Time management becomes better over time. The more that you do something, the more efficient you will become. Your goal is to increase the value of your time by being more productive and efficient with your time.
