Tombow Mono Drawing Pencil Review
Tombow Mono drawing pencils (affiliate link) are a high-quality pencil that is suitable for a beginner to an advanced artist. These pencils will work well for both sketches and final work.
Cost: The cost is very reasonable. At the time of this post, I have found them at less than $13.00 for a 12-pack of assorted degrees.
I enjoyed using these pencils for one of my commissioned drawings.

Here are my thoughts.
The pencil held a sharp tip for a long time. This is important to me because I do not use any blending tools for my drawings. I need a sharp pencil for blending. There were many times that I only had to sharpen the pencil once during the drawing session.
The lines were clean and didn’t have clay chips that would scratch the paper. The line was consistent and smooth.
High-quality wood made it easy for me to hold and control the pencil.
The case makes it easy to store and to find the grade I was looking for.
The 12-pack contains a 6B, 5B, 4B, 3B, 2B, B, HB, F, H, 2H, 3H, 4H pencil grades. I would prefer to have a softer grade for a darker value. The 6B was dark, but I would like to have darker values just in case it was needed.
For the drawing above I didn’t need anything over a 4B.
I was very satisfied with the quality of the Tombow Mono drawing pencils (affiliate link), and I am sure that I will be using them again.
