Here is a list of the most popular sites artists are using to sell original art online and POD sites (print on demand) that help artists supplement their income by selling prints of their art.
Aftcra – Aftcra is a site that only sells handmade products made in America. Aftcra’s mission is to support local artists living in America. There are no listing fees. You will have to pay a 7% fee of the total sale price. This fee does not include any financial transaction fees from PayPal.
Amazon – Amazon is a powerhouse e-commerce site that has recently started to allow artists to sell fine art. I am sure that shortly Amazon will become a great place for artists to increase their sales.
ArtPal allows you to sell paintings, photography, prints, sculptures, crafts, and more in minutes. There are no membership fees. You will receive 95%-100% when ArtPal sells your work, and it will instantly process the payment and transfers the funds directly to you.
ArtFire – Is a marketplace similar to Etsy, where people worldwide buy, sell, and engage with each other. You have the choice of no monthly charge. There is a 9% final commission fee, and you are limited to 24 active listings. Websites are available for $20.00 a month and a 3% final commission fee. The websites offer 1,000 active listings, mobile-friendly, and powerful selling tools.
Artist Rising – Artist Rising is a POD site that offers free and paid memberships. Sell poster prints, Fine Art prints, and original artwork. You will receive a percentage of the print sales.
Boom Boom Prints – Boom Boom Prints is similar to Zazzle and Cafe Press but caters to new moms and dads shopping for their nurseries. You can decide on the profit margin by accepting their suggested retail price.
Big Cartel is a website provider with nearly a million makers, designers, musicians, and other artists building a unique online store. Pricing plans run from free to about $30/month. Brand and customize your online shop’s images, colors, fonts, and options of one of their pre-made themes.
Cafe Press offers prints of your artwork on over 600 products. You will receive a percentage of the sales. They provide you with your shop where you can organize your products. Cafe Press has over 11 million unique visits per month and ships over 6 million products annually.
eBay – eBay has been around for many years and has helped many artists sell their original artwork. eBay has a large following that will make it easy for your work to be seen. One negative about eBay is that most shoppers expect a good deal.
You can either post your art as an auction or buy it now. The auction makes it more intriguing for the shoppers. They will bid on your product based on the amount they wish to spend. If you are lucky, there will be a bidding war.

Etsy – Etsy is a marketplace where people can connect with artists worldwide to purchase their artwork. It is a great place for people to find unique things they cannot find elsewhere. Artists can ship their products to the customers or allow local pickup. Over 24 million active buyers are looking for unique artwork.
Ezebee – Ezebee is an online community that allows you to swap, buy, or sell your products or services with a free website that you can create in less than five minutes. You can have your online shop with no commission and no fees. They even have Facebook widgets to start selling your products on Facebook.
FASO – Faso is a site that allows artists to build a personal artist website. You will be able to sell/collect payments directly from the site. The price ranges from $8.00- $35.00 per month and all include a mobile-optimized website, blog, email newsletter, free custom domain, and more.
Fine Art America – Fine Art America is a POD site that allows you to create an artist profile page. Your artwork will be sold as prints on fine art paper, greeting cards, canvas, tin, and more. You can decide the profit for each item sold. They take the order and ship it directly to the buyer. You just need to promote your work.
RedBubble – RedBubble allows you to sell items similar to Café Press and Zazzle. You will make a percentage of the sales generated with your artwork.

Spreesy – Spreesy makes selling your artwork easy on your social media networks. You can sell physical and digital products on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. Over 35,000 businesses are already using it; the best part is that it is free. The only fees you will have to pay are standard payment processing fees.
Zazzle – Zazzle is similar to Cafe Press and allows you to sell prints of your work on apparel, paper goods, fabric, and more. You will have a unique shop to display your items and receive a percentage of the sales.
ImageKind – Is one of the fastest-growing art communities on the internet. A POD service allows you to set the retail price of museum-quality printing and framing of your artwork. They charge a base price, and you will receive the rest of the markup. Accounts range from free – 94.99 per year.
