What Pinterest Boards Should You Create
What I will go over can be used to improve boards you already have or help you decide what boards you should create if you are new to Pinterest.
Start with a board dedicated to your new blog posts.
For example, I have a board titled Nevue Fine Art Marketing Blog Posts, For every blog post published on NFAM. This board makes it easy for my followers to discover new content, and this board drives more traffic to my blog than any other board I have created.
Did you know that 80% of the pins on Pinterest are repins?
So if you make a board that showcases your new blog posts, you are building a unique resource for people to find and share your content.
Besides having a board that showcases all of your new art blog posts, look at all of the categories you have for your artist website.
Each category you have on your blog should also have a Pinterest board with the same name.
The objective is to make it easy for your audience to locate the content they are interested in on your Pinterest account and website. This way, when a Pinterest user clicks on your pin and gets directed to your site, they will stay on your site longer to read more posts and view your artwork.

Similar Pinterest Boards
Having similar Pinterest boards is a common practice for businesses and a good strategy to implement.
Pinning your content to multiple boards will make it easier for Pinterest to understand what your Pinterest Business account offers.
For example, I have several boards dedicated to blogging:
Tips On Choosing Pinterest Board Names
The boards that mirror your website should share the same names. For example, if your blog category is titled Art Gallery, your Pinterest board should also be called Art Gallery.
When searching for new board ideas, go to Pinterest, and type in a few words that describe the content, you will be pinning.
Common search terms people use on Pinterest will start to be displayed as you are typing in words.
These are excellent board titles because they are keywords people are using to discover content on Pinterest.
Pinterest will also display additional keywords under the search bar. These might be useful keywords to include in the title.
Make sure that each board you create is relevant to your art collectors.
Board Description Tips On Pinterest
The Pinterest board description will be displayed at the top of your Pinterest board.
The description tells the viewer what to expect when they click on a board.
A clear description is beneficial to both the viewer and the Pinterest algorithm.
Including relevant keywords related to the topics, you will be pinning to the board will send a signal to Pinterest, making it possible for Pinterest to share your content with the right audience.
Pinterest allows 500 characters in the description, so make every word count. Don’t stuff the description with keywords. You will have better results writing for the reader and including the keywords to describe the boards.
