Starting a website is the first step.
Let me back up for a minute.
Before you can start a website you need a vision, goals and a brand.

What Pinterest Boards Should You Create
What I am going to go over can be used to improve boards you already have or help you to decide what boards you should create if you are just starting out.
The first question that needs to be answered is, “Where will your content fit?” (Your artwork and the content you write for your art blog.)
To start you should have a board dedicated to your new blog posts.
For example, I have a board titled, Nevue Fine Art Marketing Blog Posts which is dedicated to only the posts I upload on NFAM (Nevue Fine Art Marketing). This board makes it easy for my followers to discover new content and this board drives more traffic to my blog than any other board I have created.
Did you know that 80% of the pins on Pinterest are repins?
So if you make a board that showcases your new blog posts, you are building a unique resource for people to find and share your content.
Must Have Pinterest Boards
Do you want to know how to increase traffic to your blog from Pinterest?
Besides having a board that showcases all of your new art blog posts, take a look at all of the categories you have for your blog.
Each category you have on your blog should also have a Pinterest board.
Category boards will make it easier for your audience to find specific content they are searching for.
Your goal is to make it easy for your audience to find the content they are interested in. If they can find the content they are interested in and they find the content valuable, they will repin it.
Additional Pinterest Boards
Now that you have all of the boards that compliment your art blog let’s take a few minutes to discover some additional boards that will help you to boost blog traffic.
To find out what your audience is interested in go to your Pinterest Analytics > People you reach > Interests.
This information will tell you where people are repinning your posts and give you additional board ideas. You might even be able to pick up a few new keywords you can use.
You can also take a look at Interests: What your audience is into.
This information will show you other content your audience is searching for. You might want to consider creating similar boards but make sure that the boards you create complement your vision and goals.
The free analytics Pinterest provides is a powerful tool that will help you to decide what Pinterest boards will be best for your brand.
Pinterest Group Boards
Joining and participating with group boards can be highly effective for getting your content seen and shared.
An easy way to get started is by visiting Pingroupie.
Pingroupie is a free site dedicated to helping Pinterest users find Pinterest groups that relate to their niche.
Search for boards with a reasonable number of members. When you find groups that relate to your niche look in the board description on Pinterest for instructions on how to join.
Each group is unique and will have different policies you will want to become familiar with before joining.
Similar Pinterest Boards
Having similar Pinterest boards is a common practice for businesses and a good strategy to implement.
Pinning your content to multiple boards will make it easier for Pinterest to understand what your Pinterest Business account offers.

To discover what boards are performing the best for you to visit your Pinterest Analytics and go to Website > Clicks.
Scroll down to Boards with the most clicks in the past thirty days.
This will show you the number of impressions, number of clicks, number of saves and number of pins each board is receiving.
