Are you trying to build a loyal following? There is no better time than now for you to build loyal art collectors. In this post, I will share with you some tips for packaging your art for the holidays.

Packaging Your Art for the Holidays

This is a great time to make a name for your art business. With a little effort, you can make someone’s holiday shopping a wonderful experience.

The effort that you put in could reward you with a loyal customer who will continue to purchase from you throughout the year as well as become one of your best advocates.

Putting a little extra thought and time into packaging your art for the holidays could help you to increase your art sales for the coming year.

Most of the art that you sell at this time is for gift giving. This means that the sale is affecting two people. You have an opportunity to create a long-lasting memory with the buyer as well as the person receiving the gift. Don’t forget all of the people who will see your art when the gift is being opened and displayed.

Packaging Art

Here are some inexpensive, easy tips for packaging your art for the holidays.

Wrap the art in some nice tissue paper.

You can find some holiday colored tissue paper relatively inexpensive online. You will also start to see displays of wrapping paper in most retail stores that carry holiday-related items.

Put a ribbon on the artwork.

The ribbon is also relatively inexpensive.

When the buyer opens the package they are going to feel as if it is a gift for them. You have to wrap the art anyway. Why not take the extra step and make a customer remember you? I am sure that your name will be brought up at holiday parties just by putting in a little extra effort into your shipping.

Include a handwritten thank you card.

Every time that you ship your artwork you should include a few business cards. During the holiday season include a handwritten thank you note on a greeting card with your artwork on it. This is an easy way to give extra thanks to the buyer. They might even put your card on display for everyone to see.

Later in the post, I will share with you several different printing services that print greeting cards that will not break the bank.

Go the Extra Mile

If you go the extra mile during the holiday season you have a great chance of gaining a loyal customer.

The holidays are fast-paced and hectic for everyone.

More and more people are purchasing items online. E-commerce stores have made it easy for people to shop from the comfort of their homes. You do not have to wait in line at the register anymore. Or even worse, travel to a store to find that the item they want to purchase is out of stock.

With so many packages arriving at the doorstep, you will want to go the extra mile to be remembered.

Here is one thing you can do that will guarantee your customer will remember you for at least a year.

Give them a calendar with prints of your art on it.

Most places that offer greeting cards also offer calendars.

In total, you are spending less than $20.00 to gain a loyal customer that will see your artwork every day for the next year. If you shop around you can even spend less. I think the extra step is well worth the money invested.

Online Printing Services

Here are some online printing services to check out. I have used some of the sites but I recommend reading reviews on the sites and check for the best prices. I will highlight the ones that I have used. I was pleased with all of the companies that I have used highlighted below.

To save even more money check to see if there are any coupon codes for the sites. Most sites offer some kind of specials. It will just take an extra minute to save some money.

VistaPrint

I have used VistaPrint and was very pleased. They offer a wide variety of items including greeting cards, calendars, and business cards. You can almost always find savings with them.

Moo

Moo is a well know printing service. I have not tried them but they are on my list. They have greeting cards but I didn’t notice any calendars.

Mpix

I have used Mpix and was very happy with the quality. Like VistaPrint, they offer a large variety of products. Greeting cards and calendars are available.

PsPrint

PsPrint is a well-known company with a wide variety of products available. I have not tried them out yet.

There are many more sites to look into but this will give you a good start.

Have you tried any of these sites? Share your thoughts in the comment section so someone else can have an easier time deciding.

Conclusion:

Just by spending a few extra dollars for packaging your art for the holidays could help you to build a large following that will continue to visit your art blog and spread your name to their family and friends.
