How To Add An Instagram Story
What is Instagram Stories?
Instagram Stories is a feature within Instagram that allows you to post images and videos in a slideshow format.
The content you post will only be available for 24 hours from the time of posting.
Instagram Stories is a great way to keep your audience coming back to see what is new with your art business.
Two ways to add a story:
Open your Instagram app and click on your profile picture on the top of your screen.
You are now in the Story page where you can take a picture or video and add it to your story.
The second option is to use an image from your camera roll by clicking on the image box to the far left of the camera button. Instagram only allows you to use an image that you have taking within 24 hours.
Instagram Picture Options
There are different options available when taking a picture or video from your Instagram app.
Normal Image – take a standard image or video by pressing the camera button.
Focus – allows you to have a blurred background
Boomerang – is a GIF that plays your video on a loop
Rewind – plays your video in reverse
Superzoom – zooms in on your image. There are different styles available by clicking on the music note.
Live – create live video streams that stream to your followers. The video will be removed from your story once the live video ends.

Hashtags are keywords that make it easy for people to discover your artwork and is one of the best ways to grow your fanbase.
When a person types a keyword in the search bar, a list of hashtags related to the keyword pops up.
Using hashtags that relate to your image and art brand will help you to be noticed by more people.
Where your image appears on the page will depend on:
