It is no secret that images boost views on blog posts. You can easily insert images in WordPress and increase the views of your content by just shy of 95% with compelling images that catch the eye. In this post, I will show you how easy it is to insert images in WordPress.
Insert Images in WordPress
Before you insert images into your WordPress blog, you will want to make sure that they represent your artwork the way they would look in person.
There are many ways that you can enhance your artwork for an online presence.
Here are some courses I recommend to the artists I am coaching:
These courses will help you get started and will have you proud of the images you are sharing online.
You might also need to edit your photos. There are two free online sites that I use and recommend.
PicMonkey is the photo editing site that I use the most. PicMonkey offers a free and premium membership. There are plenty of options that the free membership offers. You can crop, enhance, and add images and add text to your image.
Canva is the other site that I use. This makes it easy to size images for social media sites. They have templates already sized, so you do not have to remember all of the image dimensions for each site. This saves a great deal of time.
How to Insert Images in WordPress
To start, you will need to log into your WordPress Dashboard.
If this is your first blog post in WordPress, I recommended reading Write a Blog in WordPress Tutorial to become familiar with WordPress Editor.
More detailed tutorials are available at Nevue Fine Art Marketing Courses:
Hover over Posts located on the right. You will have the option to view all of the posts that you have created, add a new post, categories, and tags.
You have the option to insert images in posts that you have already created by clicking All Posts. Locate the post that you want to insert images on and click on Edit.
Click on Add New for a new post.
Click on Add Media located on the top left of the page.
On this page, you will be able to upload images from your computer or choose an image from the media library. The media library is a collection of images that you have already uploaded.
To upload an image from your computer click Upload Files. Locate the image on your computer you wish to upload. Double click the image or click Open.
Note your image will be placed where you have the cursor placed on the post page.
To upload an image that is already in your media library, simply click on the image you wish to insert.
Inserting images on your WordPress site is easy to do.
Congratulations on your first post sharing your artwork.
The images that you share on your blog and social media site will reflect in your sales.
Take some time to enhance your photography skills.
