How To Use Tailwind Tribes To Sell More Art

Selling art online begins with building brand awareness.

It is safe to say that you will not sell any of your artwork or handmade crafts if people do not know they exist.

You will want to focus on three art selling stages if your goal is to sell art.

  1. Create art people will want to purchase.
  2. Have an artist website where people can view and purchase your products.
  3. Promote your art and art business

How To Market Your Artwork

The internet has made it possible for businesses of all sizes to connect with potential buyers worldwide.

Below are some common ways artists build an online presence:

There is a lot to cover will online marketing, but today I will talk about how to use Pinterest and Tailwind Tribes to grow your audience online.

Pinterest is a valuable platform for businesses of all sizes for building brand awareness.

I built my Pinterest business account within less than one year to receive over 1.1 million monthly viewers.

I highly recommend developing a Pinterest marketing strategy if your goal is to drive traffic to your website.

Why should you be so concerned with driving traffic to your artist’s website?

Because you need the traffic to land a sale.

If you are selling art online, your main priority is to drive as much traffic to your online art gallery as possible, and Pinterest will help you do just that.

Below are several posts I have written explaining the different Pinterest marketing strategies I have used to build brand awareness on Pinterest.

What Is Tailwind Tribes

Now that I have talked about how important it is to have a Pinterest Business account let’s talk about how you can build brand awareness quickly.

What are Tailwind Tribes?

Tailwind Tribes is a tool that enables you to meet and grow with other marketers, just like you! Tribes will also help you with two key problems that social marketers face every day: Having a steady supply of high-quality content to share. (Source: Tailwind App)

Tailwind Tribes are similar to Pinterest Groups boards, except you manage them on Tailwind.

Pinning valuable content to your Pinterest boards will keep your audience coming back regularly, and tailwind tribes will save you time by providing you high-quality content to repin.

Most of the successful Pinterest users recommend pinning 50% original content and 50% other sources.

How To Find Tailwind Tribes

For you to find Tailwind Tribes, you will have to create a free Tailwind account.

After you have created your account, go to the “tribe” section on the sidebar.

At the top of the page, you will find links to:

Your Tribes – This will provide you a drop-down box of the tribes you have joined.

Find a Tribe – This is where you can search for Tribes that relate to your business.

Insights – This provides valuable analytics that will help you to make better marketing decisions.

To find a list of tailwind tribes you would like to join, click on the “Find a Tribe” link and do a search.

Your Tailwind memberships will allow you to have up to 5 Tailwind Tribes, and you can submit up to 30 pieces of content per month.

There is an option to purchase “PowerUps” if you are interested in joining more tribes or submitting more than 30 pieces of content per month.

How To Leave A Tailwind Tribe

There might be a time when you discover that a tribe does not compliment your goals.

In this case, you can leave the tribe so you can make room for a different tribe.

To leave a tribe, click on the Tribes link on the sidebar.

Select the tribe you would like to leave via the drop-down box.

Hover your mouse over your name in the tribe. There you will see an option to “Leave tribe.”

A pop-up notification box will appear asking you to confirm and leave the tribe.

Once you have confirmed to leave the tribe, you will see a successful notification.

How To Share Tribe’s Content

Providing valuable content to your audience is an important strategy you will want to implement. The more value you can provide to your audience, the more frequently they will return to visit your Pinterest account.

The problem with finding valuable content to pin to your boards is that it takes a tremendous amount of time.

Visiting websites and doing searches can waste hours a week. Tailwind tribes solve this problem for you.

You can visit your Tailwind Tribes, see what pins are performing the best, and share them on your boards.

On the top right, you will notice a flame with a number. This tells you what pins are doing the best.

Your paid Tailwind account allows you to share your tribe’s content by adding it to your queue.

If you do not have a paid account, you can re-pin the content live.

You can easily see how much time you can save with Tailwind Tribes.

How to share content from Tribes:

Choose a tribe from the drop-down menu in the corner.

Search through the pins and find the content you would like to pin to your boards.

Type in the board you would like the pin to be published on and click “Add to Queue.”

At the top of the Tribe page, you can keep track of how many pins were submitted to the Tribe, new pins, how many pins you submitted, and how many you have shared.

This information will make it easy to see if you are following the tribe’s guidelines and how well your pins are performing.

How To Add Pins To Tailwind Tribes

Joining Tailwind Tribes has more benefits than just making it easy to pin other websites content to your Pinterest boards.

They are also a great way to have your content noticed and shared.

Would you like to know how to increase art sales online?

It is all about traffic.

The more traffic you can drive to your artist’s website, the better.

Tailwind Tribes is one tool you will want to consider using.

Before you can start to share your pins on tribes, you will have to install the Tailwind Browser Extension.

For information on how to install the Tailwind Browser Extension, visit:

(Chrome) Installing, removal, or troubleshooting Tailwind’s Publishing extension

(Safari) Installing, removal, or troubleshooting Tailwind’s Publishing extension

(Firefox) Installing, removal, or troubleshooting Tailwind’s Publishing extension

Once you have installed the extension you will notice a Tailwind logo when you hover over any image from your Pinterest boards or blog posts from your artist blog.

A new pop-up will be displayed to schedule it on Tailwind or add it to a Tribe.

After clicking on the “Add to Tribes.“
