Are you ready to take your artist Facebook Business Page to the next level? In this post, you will learn how to create a Facebook Cover Video so you can connect with your following on a whole new level.

How To Create A Facebook Cover Video For Visual Artists

It is finally here! Facebook now allows pages to create a Facebook Cover Video. This allows you to connect with your audience on a personal level.

Facebook Cover Video Size

There are not many guidelines that Facebook has outlined as of yet. But it is a good idea to keep an eye on Facebooks’ Page Guidelines for any changes.

Facebook Cover Video Format – There are no specifics as of yet, but it is best to use a smaller file size for people who have a slower browsing speed.

Facebook Cover Video Length – Between 20 and 90 seconds.

Facebook Banner Video Dimensions – The video should be at least 820 pixels x 312 pixels.

  • The video should not be misleading.
  • The content should represent what your page has to offer.
  • Be aware of copyrights.
  • Chose a good thumbnail.

How To Make Facebook Cover Video

Tips For Making Video Covers

The video cannot be over 90 seconds so make every second count.

Record the video with a resolution of 1080 pix.

Cropping – Keep subjects and text in the middle of the video because there will be cropping when you upload it to Facebook.

Introduce Your Art Business – The short video is an excellent way to share your elevator speech with new visitors and allow them to see the person behind the art they admire.

Keep the speech short and explain what can expect from liking your art business page.

How To Add Cover Video To A Facebook Page

After you have created your video, download it to your PC.

Login to your Facebook Page from your PC. As of now, you will not be able to upload a Facebook video cover from a mobile device. I am sure Facebook will eventually allow you to upload and edit cover videos via mobile devices until then you will have to log in to Facebook from your PC.

Click on the Video Icon on the top of your cover image.

Select Upload Photo/Video from the drop-down menu.

Select the video you have saved on your PC.

After your video has been uploaded, reposition it by dragging and dropping the video.

When you are done repositioning your video click Next.

The last step is to choose a thumbnail from a selection of frames.

When you have finished choosing a thumbnail click Publish.

Congratulations you now have a Facebook Cover Video.

Final Thoughts On Facebook Cover Video

In order for you to be successful in selling art online, you will need to keep with all of the digital marketing changes.

Videos are popular and Facebook is making it easy for you to give your following what they want.
