Are you finding it difficult to get everything done? Are you putting things on the back-burner that could potentially bring in art sales? In this video, I talk about how artists can increase the value of their time.
How Artists Can Increase The Value Of Their Time
Selling art is a lot of work, whether you are selling full-time or part-time.
You have to create art, take images of the art, upload the images to your website, write a description of the art, promote the art on all of your social media sites, write blog posts to generate traffic to your site, write and send newsletters, package and ship art to buyers, and talk to potential buyers.
Does this sound overwhelming?
It should because it is a lot of work.
Unless you are lucky enough to generate enough income to outsource some of the jobs, you will be doing it all yourself.
Keep in mind, all of the work I stated is only if you sell your art online.
If you sell your art at craft shows, the list will be even bigger.
I do have some good news. You can get all of the work down without working 20 hours a day.
I use a technique called “batching.”
Batching is when you take specific jobs and do them all at once.
For example, you can spend one-hour scheduling Facebook posts for the week versus spending a total of 30 minutes a day. That will save you a total of 2 1/2 hours a week.

The right mindset, setting goals and time management skills are essential for selling art.
The first step is believing in yourself. You need to believe that your artwork is worth selling, and it is. There are people who would love to purchase your art. Your job is to find your target audience.
The second step is to learn how to manage your time so you can get everything done. This is the challenge most artists have. After a while, many artists get frustrated because they are not seeing the results they were hoping for and they give up.
The third step is to start writing goals and develop strategic plans. It might sound basic but if you do not have goals and don’t know how to develop strategic plans to reach your goals, you will not be able to reach your full potential.
In this eBook, I share with you all of the strategies I have learned over the past fifteen years selling art online.
