Discovering new Etsy sellers is essential for searching for new products to buy or an Etsy store owner trying to find potential customers.

If you are a buyer and searching for new handmade products for your home or gifts, Etsy is the place to shop for one-of-a-kind unique items. Once you find a crafter that creates handmade goods you like, it would be a good idea to follow them so it will be easier for you to find them again on Etsy.

Etsy sellers will also benefit from following shop owners and Etsy forums. Keeping a close eye on the competition is one of the many best practices small businesses should be implemented regularly.

If you are new to Esty and do not know where to begin, don’t worry. We have you covered. This post will show you how easy it is to find handmade items on Etsy and follow Etsy Shoppers.

How To Find New Items On Etsy

Go to Etsy.com

There are two ways you can discover new items on Esty.

The first way is to type in the product’s name or describe the product in the Etsy search bar. Etsy’s search engines will go through all of the product descriptions and list the best results first in Etsy’s search results. Using descriptive words like large original horse oil paintings with vivid colors will narrow down the search results and make it easier for you to find what you are looking for. If you type in horse painting, you might be scrolling through thousands of images before finding the artwork you wish to purchase.

Descriptive words work so well because the top sellers have a clear understanding of search engine optimization. They know for their products to be displayed in Etsy’s search results, they have to make sure the description of the idem clearly explains what the buyer will receive when they make a purchase. This is good for the buyer because business owners who write well-written Etsy descriptions are more trustworthy because they take pride in their business and products.

The other way to discover new products is to click on a category and scroll through the feed to see if anything catches your eye. This is a great way to find new products if you are not looking for something specific.

How To Follow People On Etsy

After finding some items you like, you might want to follow the person who owns the shop to find new products the seller is listing.

To follow an Etsy shop or crafter, click the person’s name in the Shop Owner section on the shop’s main page. Next, click the “Follow” link under the profile picture.

Etsy will notify the shop owner via email.

To discover new listings from your favorite crafters, go to the “New Items From Your Favorite Shops” feed at the top of your home page.

How Can Etsy Shop Owners See Who Are Following Them

Log into your Etsy shop to see who is following you on Etsy.

Click the Followers link, then click the Following tab.

This will show a list of people who are following you. You will also be notified by Etsy via email when someone follows you.

Why Do People Follow Each Other On Etsy

Buyers follow their favorite shops so they will not miss any new Etsy listings. Sometimes there will only be a few items available, so if you get a heads up when recent products are listed, you can purchase them before they are gone.

Sellers follow Etsy users to keep an eye on what they are selling and gather any other relevant information they can use to help grow their online art business, like how to take a great photo or Etsy SEO.

How To Get More Followers On Etsy

If you are new to selling products on Etsy, you might have noticed that it can be challenging to drive people to your listings.

The easiest way to build your following is to ask your friends and family to follow your Etsy account.

Another good way to grow your following is to promote your online shop on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest. When posting on your social media accounts, including your Etsy store name and a link to your shop or a specific listing.

Writing blog posts related to your Etsy shop and art business will also help your target market discover you online. Include a link to your Etsy shop when relevant to the post.

You will also have a better chance of potential buyers discovering you on Etsy if you use relevant keywords in your product title and description. When an Etsy buyer types in the keywords you use for your title and description, they will see it in the search.

Etsy also allows you to add Etsy tags or metadata that helps shoppers discover your items. For example, if you have tagged your product with the term handmade jewelry. Shoppers who type in the phrase handmade jewelry will see your listing in Etsy’s search. Remember that the top sellers will be featured first in the search, so your main objective is to build a solid customer base and increase your Etsy sales. In time you too can be a featured Etsy seller.

Final Thoughts How To Find People On Etsy

New Etsy shops are more challenging to discover on Etsy than shops with a high sales volume. Whether you are a buyer interested in buying vintage goods or a crafter hoping to make some extra money from crafts you make, searching and following people on Etsy is a great place to start.
