Have you just finished creating your Facebook Business Page? Are you ready to start building a following, but you do not know where to start? In this post, discover some Facebook Page basics to help you start building your audience.

Facebook Page Basics How to Build Your Following

You have just finished creating your Facebook Page. Now it is time for you to start building your audience. The best way to start is to invite your friends to your page. You will find a couple of ways you can do this.

Invite Friends

First, you will need to sign in to your Facebook page.

Under your cover image, hover over the More link and click on invite friends.

Another place you can find this link (invite friends) is by hovering over the Promote link on the left sidebar.

Facebook Page Basics

(Note, Facebook is always changing. The Invite link might be in a different place depending on when you are creating your Page.)

A pop-up box will appear with all your friends from your Profile Page after clicking the Invite link. Here you can invite your friends to like your new Art Business Page. You can invite all your friends or choose friends one at a time by clicking the Invite box next to their names. There will be a checkmark next to any friends that already like your Page.

Email

The next step you will want is to email an invitation to like your Art Business Page to your email list.

Make a special announcement about your new Page and describe what type of content you will be providing on your Page.  Highlight all the benefits they will receive by liking your Page. For example, you might promote special deals you will only announce on your Facebook Business Page.

You must wait for your friends and the people from your email list to start liking your Page.

Start posting content your audience will love to engage with while waiting for your friends to join you.

I will learn more about building your following later in this book. But for now, this is a great start for building your audience with people interested in what you offer.

Action Step:

Sign in to your Facebook Page now, start using these Facebook Page Basics, and start building your following.
