Facebook Boost Posts

- How to boost a Facebook post
What Does It Mean To Boost A Post On Facebook
When you boost a post on Facebook, you are paying money to have it shown to more people.
You will pay Facebook to show your boosted post in more newsfeeds.
The Boost Post link is on the bottom right of each post.
Later in this post, I will go over all of the options available for boosting Facebook posts.

Facebook Boost Post Options
As of 2019, the Boost Post feature still has a small list of options you are allowed to customize.
Some of the limitations are:
- Limited to interest targeting
- No device or placement targeting
- No tracking features
Knowing what audience is performing best for your art business allows you to make better marketing decisions.
Getting the most for your marketing money is the point, right?
Boosting Posts does not offer those valuable insights.
The lack of insights makes it difficult to make a better marketing decision.
I am not saying that boosting a post is a bad idea and will not work for you but I do want you to know what your options are before you start throwing your hard earned money on something that is not producing results.
Before You Boost A Post
Before you do anything know what your objectives are.
What are you hoping to accomplish by having your post seen by more people?
Are you hoping to sell a piece of art you are featuring?
Would you like to sell more prints?
Do you want to drive them to a blog post with a strong CTA (call to action), promote a sale or let them know about an important event you will be attending?
Make sure that the post you are contemplating boosting will bring you a positive ROI (return on investment).
If you feel that the post will help you to reach your goals, the next step is to check the insights of the post you are planning on boosting.
If the post is doing well organically (people engaging with your post without paid advertisements) then you might see positive results by boosting the post.
However, if the post is doing poorly organically, boosting it will be a waste of your time and money.
At that point, you would do better creating a finely tuned Facebook Ad or try creating better organic content that resonates well with your audience.
