Edit Settings
The next step is to edit your settings. There will be five sections you will want to review and edit. To edit your settings hover over your profile image on the top right and click the Settings link from the drop-down menu.

Business Account Basics
This section will allow you to edit your email and password.
Country – where you live.
Business Type – the type of business you are marketing.
Contact Name – your contact name.
Search Privacy – allows you to hide your profile from search engines. I do not recommend you to hide your profile from search engines. You want people to be able to find you on Pinterest.
Personalization – use sites and information from Pinterest’s partners to improve recommendations you see.
Search History – allows you to clear recent searches you have made.
Profile Section
The profile section will be the second section you will want to review and fill out.
Business Name – add your business name.
Profile Picture – add a profile image to your Pinterest Business account.
About You – Add a description of your business to let the visitors know what to expect from your Pinterest Business Account.
Location – Add the location of your business. Adding your business location will help local people find you easier.
Website – Make sure that you add your business website.
Notifications
The notification section is the third section that you will want to review and edit. You will be able to decide how you would like to be notified about important changes.
When You’re on Pinterest – you can choose to get notifications from everyone or only people who you follow.
Get Notified by Email When:
- Pins your Pin
- Likes your Pin
- Follows you on your Board
Pinterest will notify you as they happen or once a day.
- Someone Comments on your Pin
- Someone Sends you a Message
- Someone You know Joins Pinterest
- Someone Invites you to Join a Group Board (you can pick which group boards you hear from)
- Price Changes on your Pins
- Stuff You Might Like
- Weekly Inspiration
- Announcements About New Features
- Pinterest Tips and How-Tos
- Invitations to give Pinterest Feedback
Social Networks
The social network section allows you to connect with your other social network sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Gmail, Yahoo, and Microsoft.
Apps
The Apps section shows a list of apps that you have approved.
Now that you have your Pinterest Business Account set up you will want to install Pin It buttons to your artist blog and online art gallery so people can start to pin your images.
Enabling pinning from your website will allow people to pin what they like with one click. Every time that someone pins directly from your site, you will be receiving free advertising of your brand and artwork.
Most popular blogging platforms such as WordPress, Blogger, and Tumbler already have the Pin It button integrated into the service. There are plugins also available for WordPress with additional features that will allow people to hover over an image and Pin a particular image that they like.
You can also create a Pin It button and add it to your site by going to MAKE A PIN IT BUTTON.
Conclusion:
Now that know how easy it is to start a Pinterest business account, it is time to start your building your brand with this powerful social media network.
