How many times have you been on a site and you wanted to contact someone who could help you? Was it easy for you to find a way to contact someone? In this post, I am going to talk about how contact pages increase art sales.

How Contact Pages Increase Art Sales

The customer service landscape is changing, and customers are communicating across more channels than ever before.
Takeaway: Customers expect to be able to reach a real person in your company, be it via a website, social media or the phone. Being responsive to those requests is critical! (Source: HelpScout)

Have you ever visited a site that did not provide an easy way for you to contact a person?

How long would you spend on a site searching for a contact page?

If you could not find a way to contact a person on the top menu bar, the footer or the “About Us” page, would you continue to search or would you leave the site?

I have been on many sites that I wanted to contact someone about a question that I needed help with. It might be a question about a product I am interested in purchasing or it might be about a product I have already purchased.

When there is no way for me to contact someone I start to feel that the site is not a trustworthy site and might even be fraudulent.

I know that it does not mean that the site is fraudulent if there is no contact page but it does send up red flags.

There many layers that build a successful business and in my opinion, great customer service should be the top priority.

By providing an excellent customer experience, you improve your chances of crushing company sales and retention goals. (Source: replyco)

Art Marketing Plan

What is your art marketing plan?

I am confident that one of your goals is to increase revenue.

People start a business with the hopes to make money.

How can your business generate more money?

  • Sell more artwork
  • Sell prints
  • offer courses
  • Increase prices
  • Lower outgoing costs

Everything above except for “lowering outgoing costs” has a connection with the buyer.

If you are selling products or services you are in the customer service field. So it only makes sense that if you want to increase your sales you should focus on providing the best customer service you can.

Customer service should be one of the top priorities for your art marketing plan.

How can you provide great customer service if you are operating an online business?

The answer is simple, make it easy for your customers to get in touch with you, create a contact page and have it accessible on different locations of your site. Do not make a potential buyer search for a way to get in touch with you.

One way to provide great online customer service is by creating a site that is easy to navigate.

Contact Page Benefits

Below are some benefits of having a contact page for your art blog and artist website.

Contact Pages Make A Site Look More Professional

Every professional website will have at least one way for a person to contact a customer service rep. Having a contact page on your blog and website will place your business on the same playing field as the big companies, and the good news is that it is free.

Contact Pages Will Make Your Site More Trustworthy

A contact page tells people the site is a legitimate site. Even if a buyer does not visit the contact page, they will feel more confident purchasing from that site. They will know that there will be a way to contact someone if something goes wrong with the purchase.

People Have Questions

Art buyers have many questions that need to be answered before they will trust an artist and purchase their art. Once you have built their trust, you will gain a loyal collector of your artwork. Providing a contact page you will be able to engage with potential buyers, build their trust, and gain loyal collectors of your artwork.

SEO

Google likes contact pages. If you are looking to rank higher with your art blog and website, adding a contact page will help to increase your rankings in Google search.

WordPress Contact Plugins

Here are just a few of the top WordPress contact plugins and videos on how to install and setup.
