There are so many amazing artists in the world. Most of the art will never be seen, because the artists have fear and doubt. In this article, discover that it is time for you to start breaking the fear, start selling your art.
Breaking The Fear Start Start Selling Your Art
Not Good Enough
Many artists are afraid of selling their art because they think that their art is not good enough. This fear holds them back from starting a life that they have always dreamed of and prevents them from growing as an artist.
Once you start thinking that you would like to sell your art, start selling it. People will see your art differently than you will. They might like the colors that you use, or your style of your art. They might have a passion for the subjects that you draw or paint. A buyer will purchase your art based on if they like it or not. The sale will not be determined by how you feel about your artwork. The sale will only be determined by the consumer’s thoughts.
You will always feel like you could do better. Isn’t that one of the reasons that you love being an artist? Don’t you love the challenge? Isn’t it a rewarding feeling watching the progress you make over the years? Your followers will love to watch you grow as an artist too.
Everyone has to start somewhere. Once you start you will have the drive to better yourself. You will be amazed at how quickly you will grow as an artist.
Take a look at the growth of your favorite artists, musician or movie stars career. Observe how they have enhanced their skills from when they first started until today. You will do the same once you get started.
Fear of Success
Some people have a fear of success. They do not feel comfortable with the attention that success would bring towards them. They do not want the spotlight on them because they will feel vulnerable. They might feel awkward or guilty because their family or friends do not have the same success. They might feel that they do not deserve to be successful.
This type of mindset will prevent you from living a life that you dream of. If you want to be an artist, strive to be the best that you can be. Your friends and family will support you and would love to watch you succeed. Everyone deserves to be happy and live the life that they dream of.
Fear of Failure
Nobody likes to fail. What is failing? Does it mean that you have failed because you tried to do something and you did not get the results you were hoping for? If that is true then we would never have learned how to walk, talk, or ride a bike. You see where I am going here.
When you were learning how to walk and you fell, you did not just give up because you thought you failed. Instead, you got right back up and tried again. You did this until you were able to walk to the other side of the room.
When you got your first bike and fell off, did you just put the bike away and never try again?
When you first started learning how to draw or paint, did you give up because it did not turn out the way you were hoping for?
No, you didn’t give up. You kept at it until you are where you are today.
The same goes with selling your art, starting a business, or anything that you do. It is all a learning process.
Everything that you can do today was learned.
Learning is not failing. Failing is not trying.
Fear of the Unknown
Most people fear the unknown. Why? Because they do not know what they will get when they get there. Many people become stuck in a rut because they start to feel comfortable and secure where they are. They might not like their job or other aspects of their life, but they are not willing to change because they fear the unknown.
The job that you have right now was once an unknown. You didn’t know what to expect. You didn’t know how you would connect with the other employees. There were many things you did not know when you first started your job, but you did it. You learned how to do what is expected from you and how to engage with your fellow employees.
Now you feel comfortable, you might not like your job, but you know what to expect every day.
The same will happen when you start selling your art. You will learn what is necessary for you to succeed. In time you will become an expert in your field.
There is no better time than now to start selling your art. You will learn as you go along an grow as an artist.
